    Q: How much will my bids be?


    Your CPC will vary considerably, depending on your offering and location. Some industries (plumbers for example) are willing to pay high costs per click. This competition pushes the prices up! Similarly, the location has an impact on your cost per click. The more competitors in a location, bidding for a term will increase the cost per click.

    Just remember that the cost per click should be at the keyword level. You will be willing to pay considerably more for high-quality terms. What makes a term high quality? The chances a click will result in an enquiry and the profitability of that enquiry if it proceeds.

    Q: Why is my CPC so high?


    Your CPC is mainly determined by the quality score of your keyword and your bid. High-quality scores are typically rewarded with lower CPC’s and vice versa. Your quality score is determined:

    • Your landing page user experience
    • Your ad relevance
    • Your expected click-through rate

    If you’re looking to improve your CPC without changing the bid, the areas to look at is how you have matched your keyword, what your ad is saying as well as what page you are sending AdWords traffic to.

    The other place to look, at is your bid amount. A way to lower CPC is to lower your bid but keep in my mind that lowering your bid can impact your ad positioning.

    Q: What will my AdWords conversion rate be?


    There are a ton of variables that your conversion will depend on. Simply put it comes down to how relevant your business is to the searcher’s intent. If you provide the right service to match the searcher’s intentions and you can provide a positive overall online experience for the user then we can expect better conversion rates. Whereas if you are sending not relevant traffic to your website or your online experience is not great (think slow loading website, hard to find your service locations, if your phone number is hidden on a single page), your conversion rate will suffer.

    Q: How many leads will I get?


    To answer this, there are a number of factors to be considered. Our objective is to build the campaign and optimise it to maximise the return of your input. We will optimise the campaign to best suit your goals and targets and when necessary we will make budget recommendations if we truly believe a higher budget will yield better results. We have had great success of running excellent campaigns that meet all performance benchmarks.

    Q: How long until I see results from my campaign?


    Whilst ads will show up almost immediately on Google, it will take some time to see that traffic converting into enquiries.
    For the average campaign, we believe you will start to see enquiries in the first thirty days. It should be noted that ‘bedding down’ a campaign and judge its early success should not occur until the campaign has been running for ninety days.
    Also, do not forget your own sales cycle. If your average sale takes six months to close, then you really cannot judge the return on your investment for that period of time. We can measure if you are generating enquiries, but the conversion of those enquiries might take some time.

    Q: How do I know if AdWords is right for my business?


    AdWords, in theory, will work for most businesses. Why? Put simply, the cost per click is determined by the industry. Assuming you and your competitors are not crazy, the max cost per click will be determined before a point where you make a loss.
    You should also consider that AdWords is part of a larger marketing plan. If you are using AdWords, you need to send the traffic to a quality site. If the phone rings, you need to be able to service that call. Your pricing needs to reflect the quality of your service and what you comparable competitors are charging.

    Q: What is the monthly management fee for?

    Q: Why can’t I see my ads when I Google my own keywords?


    There can be a number of reasons to which result in you not seeing yourself for keywords you’d imagine to be important. The common cause typically is budget, your campaign runs on a fixed budget – so depending on how the day’s been, you may have run out of budget when conducting your search. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it means your budget has gone to people looking for your service. Another cause may be ad scheduling, this is where you set to have your ads appear at certain times of the day so that you might capture the peak times to be visible. In addition, you might not see your ads as they could be on standard delivery – this is where Google spaces out your ad placement to preserve budget for the day so that you don’t run out too early. Finally, low bids could be the reason your ads aren’t showing. bidding too low might bump your ads down to the bottom or they may not be visible at all.

    Q: Can I access my AdWords account?
